I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected as the Provincial Artist for the 2026 Alberta Summer Games! I have been awarded the contract to create commemorative glass giftware for both Tier 1 and Tier 2 pieces, with Tier 1 consisting of a minimum of 50 pieces, making this my largest commission to date!
This project is an exciting milestone in my artistic career and allows me to bring my passion for glass art to a meaningful, large-scale commission. Each piece will be handcrafted in my Alberta studio using kiln-fused glass techniques, designed to reflect the energy, vibrancy, and spirit of the Games. The collection will highlight the unique qualities of glass, while showcasing the craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into every creation.
Being selected for this commission is a true honor and a recognition of the dedication I bring to my work. It also provides an opportunity to experiment with new designs and techniques on a larger scale than ever before.
I am excited to share updates as the collection comes to life and to celebrate this milestone in my studio practice with the 2026 Alberta Summer Games commission.
My piece ”Turning of the Year” has been selected by the City of Airdrie, and was displayed in their exhibit from January-May 2026.
